Joseph A. Augello, Jr.

Joseph A. Augello, Jr., 83, of Belmont, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born April 16,1937 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Joseph Anthony Augello, Sr. and Anna De Pascal Augello.

Joseph attended Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Deer Park, NY. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He spent his last years with his daughter, Lisa, and family in NC.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Augello; and siblings, Claire, Anne and John.

Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph A. Augello, III and Jean; daughter, Lisa Berman and Sandor; grandchildren, William J. Knockenhauer, Matthew J. and wife, Maddie Knockenhauer, Andrew A. Knockenhauer, Joseph A. Augello, IV and wife Macy, Christopher M. and wife, Linoska Augello, Marcelino P. Augello, Benjamin D. Augello and Sarah Rose Berman; and great-grandchildren, Isabella R. Knockenhauer, Riley A. Knockenhauer and Joseph A. Augello, V.

A gathering of family and friends with Pastor Darin Gibbs, will be held 10-11am on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
