Gastonia, NC Jorge Lopez, 21, passed away October 31, 2012 in Gastonia. He was born July 14, 1991 in Troy, NC son of Apolonia Torres Lopez and Jorge Placencia. Jorge was a kind, loving, helpful child, who was full of laughter.He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Gastonia. He was a 2009 graduate of Ashbrook High School, Gastonia. A funeral service will be held 2pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Jose Antonio Joya. The family will receive friends 12:30 - 2 pm on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. In addition to his parents he was survived by: his sisters, Dayanna and Genesis Lopez; uncles, Javier Lopez of Mexico, Fransico Lopez of Gastonia, Ciprino Lopez of Mexico; aunts, Gloria Lopez of Mexico, Alejandra Lopez of Gastonia, Mercedes Lopez of Mexico, Marina Lopez of Concord, Lulu Lopez of Gastonia, Lucia Lopez of Bessemer City, Nallely Lopez of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by: grandparents, Teresa Torres and Juventino Lopez. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
