Jonathan White

Jonathan "Wesley" White, 28, of Gastonia, passed away October 10, 2015 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1987 in Gastonia, NC. Wes attended Kings Mountain High School and the Art Institute of Charlotte. He was a fan of NASCAR and loved the Atlanta Braves. Wes was a huge movie buff; he was very proud of his "vast movie collection". He also loved music and saw himself as quite "the entertainer". Wes was a total optimist; he always saw the good in every person or situation. He often defended anyone he felt was unfairly judged. Wes loved God and his family; he will be greatly missed. Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Tommy White Jr.; and his grandfather, William Podaras. Left to cherish his memories are his mother and stepfather, Ruthy and Steve James; brother, Travis James; grandmothers, Bernice Podaras, and Jeanette James; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Paul Brintley, will be held 3 pm Sunday, October 18 at Christian Fellowship Assembly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Assembly, 2352 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
