Jonathan Spurgeon Nicholson

Jonathan Spurgeon Nicholson, 34, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

A Gaston County native, he was born January 14, 1986, son of Harold Nicholson and Cathy Bentley.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Ilene Wyatt; paternal grandfather, Harold Nicholson Sr., and fur baby, Rocky Roo.

Jonathan was a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, and uncle who will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Stephanie Nicholson; brothers, Adam Nicholson and wife Brandy, Matthew Nicholson; nephews, Kash and Kruz Heavener, Kaiden Hall; niece, Kyndal Heavener; grandmother, Betty Nicholson; aunts, Pam Mellon and husband Josh, Vickie Capps and husband Calvin, Judy Brooks and husband Jeff; uncles, Jeff and Michael Wyatt; several cousins; and fur baby Roxie.

A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, January 15, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1593 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Mr. Nicholson will lie in state from 10-11am at the funeral home.

The family will be at the residence at other times.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
