Johnny Belinda Worthy

Johnny Belinda Worthy, 59, of Gastonia, passed away September 19, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born March 9, 1956, a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Carl and Mattie Truelove. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law Karla and Anthony Hall of Gastonia; son, Chris Elmore; step-daughter Jessie Elmore; step-son Jonathan Elmore; grandchildren, Chris Elmore, Jr., Thomas Elmore, Danny Spake, Jr., Jamie Henson, Sarah Lee Elmore, Mattie Elmore, Rusty Spake, Akilla Grant and Shawn Michael Elmore; sister Rhonda Stallings, brothers Billy and William Worthy and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Worthy. A memorial service was held 2 pm Wednesday at Sunset Forest Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jeff Hicks. The family received friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunset Forest Baptist Church, 903 Hickory Grove Rd., Gastonia, NC 28056.
