Johnny Harold Shannon

Johnny Harold Shannon, 73, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born July 23, 1948, in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Earl Holland Shannon and Ida Mainus Shannon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Shannon; and granddaughter, Aleigha Shannon.

Johnny is survived by his sons, John Wayne Shannon (Penny Blissett), and Steve Shannon (Candy); brother, Gene Shannon (Ann); sister, Edna Klingenschmidt; grandchildren, Jessica Shannon, Madison Shannon, Stephanie Hensley, and Kayla Shannon; and great-grandchildren, Randy Shannon, and Addison Hensley.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Mike Wilson, will be held 2pm, on Friday, March 18, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia.
