Johnny James Porter

Johnny James Porter, 58, of Gastonia, passed away April 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1957, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Woodrow Thomas Porter and Geneva Barrett Porter.  Johnny was a proud grandfather of four grandchildren and proud uncle of five.

Left to cherish his memories are his fiance' Jean Martin of Gastonia; daughters Brandy Porter and Michelle Grant of Wilmington; brother; William Glenn Porter and wife Cheryl of Salisbury; sister Deborah Huffstetler of Gastonia and numerous cousins who loved him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Thomas Porter.

All services will be private.
