Johnny Lewis "Don" Greene

Johnny Lewis "Don" Greene, 75, of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on October 28, 2020, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born December 7, 1944 in Haywood County, NC to the late Homer Greene and Bertha Gunter Cunningham.

Johnny was an avid golfer and devoted husband of 57 years.  He was retired from Anvil Knits with over 40 years of service.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Ray Greene; a sister, Geneva Greene; and two brothers, James Greene and Ray Greene.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Georgia Greene; three sons, Donny Greene, Richard Greene and wife Lisa, and Tony Greene and wife, Betty; seven grandchildren, Terri McCullough and husband Sinjin, Joseph Greene and wife Jessica, Steven Greene and companion Joanie, Chasity Greene, Kenneth Greason and wife Tamera, Tonya Greene and companion Brent, and Jeremy Lewis and companion Faith; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, NC between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Larry Laws, will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, NC.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Westview Gardens.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
