Johnny Bridges

Johnny Bridges, 63, of Gastonia, passed away on September 22, 2021, at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby.

He was born May 7, 1958, in Gaston County, son of the late LB Bridges and Lena Stiles Bridges.

Johnny loved his family and was always wanting to spend time with them.

He enjoyed building model cars and collecting knives.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pressley.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm  Friday, October 1, 2021, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Rector; his daughters, Susan Hogsed, Jennifer Bridges and husband Timothy Smith, Kayla Bridges and fiancé Jonathan Caulder; brother, Kenneth Bridges and wife Dianne; grandchildren, Camden, Christian, Katie, Charles Jr., Clarissa, Angel, Nate; three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Bridges; brother, Larry Bridges; sister, Tina Childers.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
