Johnnie Mae Parker

In loving memory of Johnnie Mae Parker, who graced this earth with her presence from May 22, 1935, until her journey home on May 11, 2026. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, and a cherished resident of Clover, South Carolina, Johnnie was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.

With an infectious spirit, she approached life's challenges as a dedicated machinist in the auto parts industry. But her greatest joys weren't found in the workplace; they were nurtured in her yard, under the sun, and along the shorelines of the beach she adored. A lover of cross-stitch and cake-making, she infused her creations with the same love she poured into her family-welcoming all with open arms and a heart full of kindness.

Johnnie was more than just a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother; she was the glue that held her family together, always ready with a smile and wise words. Her home was a sanctuary, a gathering place where laughter echoed and memories were woven together.

She is survived by her beloved brother Jerry Ledford of Supply, North Carolina, sister Joanne Glenn of Clover, South Carolina. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside services to honor and celebrate Johnnie's remarkable life will be held Monday, May 18, 2026, at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054, 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to join us as we remember the beautiful soul who always made her home a haven of love and joy.

Rest in peace, dear Johnnie. Your spirit will forever light the paths of those you touched.

Johnnie was preceded in death by: Max Parker, Eston Ledford, Ruby Sission, Bobby and India Anderson, Brenda Yelton and Jerry Yelton Jr.
