Obituary

Johnni "Johnetta" Edwards was born in Seminole, Oklahoma to Bobby John Edwards and the late Gloria Edwards. She spent a portion of her life being raised by her grandparents, Hilluard Boone and Corine Boone. She departed this earthly life on March 16, 2023, in Charlotte, NC.

Johnni accepted Christ at an early age, and she was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.

Johnni enjoyed watching football, watching old westerns, shopping, watching animal shows, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Johnni was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hilluard Boone, Corine Boone, Ollie Edwards, and  Louise Washington, her mother, Gloria Edwards, and her brothers, Bobby Dewayne Edwards and Antonio Delane Edwards.

She leaves to cherish her memories her father and step-mother, Bobby John Edwards and Lina Florence Edwards, daughters, Meleisha Janae Edwards, Courtney Antoinette Thompson, and Tracee Nicole Thompson, grandchildren, Quaneisha Thompson, Daeveahn Caldwell, Semaj Bethea, and Ishter Carter, great grandchildren, Kourtne Caldwell, Kiari Caldwell, Daeveahn Caldwell, Jr., and Kamaiya Caldwell, sisters, Lois Evelyn Edwards, Missionary Quincella McFadden, brothers, Ollie Ray Edwards, Wilburn Johnell Edwards, and Jerry Edwards, brother-in-law, Overseer Clyde McFadden, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at
