Johnathan Darrell Humphries

Johnathan Darrell Humphries, 30, of Kings Mountain, passed away April 13, 2017, at his home.

He was born September 2, 1986, in Spartanburg County, SC, son of Serita Owens Sutton of Alexis and the late Leonard Darrell Humphries.

Johnathan was a Junior Member of the Kings Mountain Rescue Squad and also had his Residential Journeyman license.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paulette Gregory and Robert Owens.

Left to cherish his memories along with his mother are his dad, Mark Mull of Kings Mountain; daughter, Kaydence Ann Humphries; siblings, Carrie Niggel of Lincolnton, Justin Gantt of Kings Mountain, Mark Mull Jr. of Kings Mountain, Kevin Mull of Grover, Alissa Mull of Kings Mountain, and Steven Campbell of Grover; grandparents, Mary and Kenneth Mull of Kings Mountain; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral service, officiating Pastor Kenneth Burnett, will be held 3 pm on Wednesday, at Welcome Baptist Church, 811 Mauney Road, Stanley.

The family will receive friends, 6 - 8pm on Tuesday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia.

Interment will be held at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Johnathan Darrell Humphries Memorial Fund in care of Mark Mull, 1560-1 York Rd. Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
