John Stephen Turlington, Jr.

John Stephen Turlington, Jr. 54, of Gastonia, NC, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 8, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

He was born July 11, 1969, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of the late John Stephen Turlington, Sr. and Mary Sprott Turlington.

John had a big heart, and was a good kind man. He loved everyone that he met, and would never forget anyone. He loved UNC Basketball, chess, music, he was an amateur CB Ham Radio Operator for over 30 years - tag KJ4ZTV. He loved his wife dearly, his 7 fur babies, Lulu, Anna, Nala, Hope, Yara, Mili, and Maya, and most importantly he loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary White.

John is survived by his loving wife, Chrystal Brooks Turlington; and stepson, Wesley Whitworth.

A funeral service officiated by Pastors Kevin Hager, and Robert Brooks, will be held 3:00pm, Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
