John "Mike" Sellers

John Michael Sellers age 80 passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, January 28th,2025.

He was born January 24th 1945. He was the son of late Hazel Barnette and Lola Huffman Sellers.

He retired from Westing house in Charlotte and worked for Coastal Carolina university in Conway, South Carolina for several years. He loved to spend time with his family and his flower garden. He also loved to travel and go camping.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Paul Sellers; granddaughter, Brittany Lee, and her husband, Daniel; great grandchildren, Kelsey Guthrie, Mackenzie Lee, Ava Lee, and Jaxson Lee; sisters, Betty, Sutton, and Mary Grose; and long time friend, Zack Smith.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Sellers, Johnsie Thornburg, and Geraldine Brown.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-6pm, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
