John Odell Long, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on May12, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Odell Long, Sr. and Mary Allen Long; wife Rebecca Sams Long.
Survivors are daughters Terri L. Dees of Stanley, NC, Melanie L. Manera of York, SC, and Lori Michelle Long of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Eric C. Dees II of Indian Trail, NC, Sean C. Dees of Midland, NC, Patrick M. Dees of Dallas, NC and Rachel N. Manera of York, SC; five great grandchildren; special friend, Kay Burgin of Lincolnton, NC.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Sunday May 15, 2016 at Hollywood Cemetery. Officiating Rev. Sean Dees.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
