John-Farrell Joseph Bouvette Sloop

John-Farrell Joseph Bouvette Sloop, 29, of Fort Mill, SC joined the Lord in eternal life unexpectedly on July 23, 2017.   John-Farrell was born on June 11, 1988 in Charleston, SC and is survived by the love of his life, best friend, and wife, Jodi Reagan Sloop; parents Theresa (Bouvette) & Rick Sloop of Gastonia; grandmother RoseMary Kerr Bouvette; parents-in-law Tracy (Cummings) & Mark Magyar of Charlotte; sister Meredith Miller Baum of Summerville, SC; sister Chrissy Sloop Faulk (Chet) of Belmont, NC; brother Charles-Andrew Sloop (Shelley Rae) of Charlotte; sister-in-law Cassidy Magyar of Charlotte; sister-in-love and longtime family friend Jessica Heisey; nieces and nephews, Alexander Baum, Hunter Baum, Dylan Baum, Sydney Ellis Faulk, and goddaughter Madeleine Ott.  John-Farrell is preceded by grandparents John Gerard Bouvette; and Doris (Watts) & Farrell Brown Sloop.

John was loyal, generous, kindhearted, witty, and loved a healthy debate.  He was an avid gamer, had a love of music, nature, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  John was a problem solver and served as the family diplomat.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and had a glorious beard.  He was an active band member and 2006 graduate of Providence High School and studied Computer Science at UNC Charlotte.  He worked in Cyber Security as a Level III Technical Support Specialist in Managed Services for Buchanan Technologies.   John, a self-proclaimed "Computer Genius", enjoyed a love of technology from an early age and held many certifications to support his claim.   John was a blessing to other families through his selfless bone marrow and blood donations.  Donations can be made in memory of John-Farrell to the DKMS Foundation at www.dkms.org .  The family also encourages all to consider registration as a donor.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at John's home church Christ Lutheran, 4519 Providence Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.  The service will be officiated by Pastor Drew Goodson and all are welcome to attend.
