John Matthew Dye

Dallas - John Matthew Dye, 50, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at his residence. Son of Virginia Blondina Hudson of Dallas and the late Horace Sanders Hudson, he was born April 17, 1964 in Cleveland, OH. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Michael Dye and Anthony Allen Dye. In addition to his mother, John is survived by his daughters, Stacy Rhodes and husband Kyle of Highlands, NC, Kristina Rios of Dallas; his pride and joy, granddaughter, Ashton Renee Smith; brothers, Tracy Dye of Gastonia, Randall Dye and wife Karen of Bessemer City; sister, Kim Justice and husband James of Dallas; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Jason Walker will be held 6:00 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
