John "Jay" Cobb IV, 31, of Gastonia, passed away December 13, 2016.
He was born June 14, 1985 in Syracuse, NY, the son of John Cochrane Cobb III and Cheryl Cobb.
Jay attended Bethlehem Church in Gastonia. He was a proud active US Army Reservist who served two tours of duty in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Left to cherish his memories along with his parents are his loving wife Kellie Cobb; son Jayden Cobb; daughter Madison Cobb; siblings Jacqueline Ortiz and husband Francisco of Indio, CA, Nicklaus Cobb of Liverpool, NY; niece and goddaughter Cali Ortiz, nephew and godson Lauson Cobb and many other friends and family.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo will be held 11 am Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Bethlehem Church, 3100 Bethlehem Church Street, Gastonia.
Receiving of friends and family will be 6 – 9 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
Burial will be in VA National Cemetery in Salisbury on Monday at 11 am.
