John Charles Cloninger

John Charles Cloninger, 65, journeyed to heaven on July 26th 2012. Johnny loved life. He was happiest watching races, wrestling and being with his family. His family was his joy. He was a devoted husband to Mary Jane Merrill Cloninger. He cherished his sisters: Dianne Johnson, Gayle Cloninger and Ann Love and her husband Jerry and nieces and nephews. He was like a brother to Tish Merrill and John Flay Merrill Jr. He is preceded in death by his Parents Charles and Beulah Cloninger and John and Mary Merrill and his beloved pet Duke. A celebration of his life will be held Monday July 30th. Visitation will begin at 5pm and a Memorial Service will be held at 6pm at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
