John Edward Barrett

John Edward Barrett, 68, of Gastonia, NC, passed away, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Peak Resources, Gastonia.

He was born March 19, 1952 in Kershaw Co, SC, son of the late George Edward Barrett and Lucy Wilma Goff Barrett.

He was a loving brother. He loved Western movies and shows, music and animals.

A special thank you to his beloved CNA, Angela Sadler.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, James R. Stokes and Gerald Dean Barrett; sister, Kathy A. Barrett; and grandparents, John and Sallie Goff and John and Maggie Brown.

John is survived by his brother, George W. Barrett (Pam); sisters, Linda Barrett-Ray (Don) and Sally Dixon (Jerry); and an estranged son, John K. Goff Barrett.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro, will be held 3pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
