Joe Randal "Randy" Short

Joe Randal "Randy" Short, 75, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at White Oak Manor.

A native of Gaston County, he was born on January 7, 1949, to the late Belle Scott.

Randy was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served from 1968 to 1972. He retired from Pioneer Motor Bearing in Kings Mountain in 2014.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Short; sister, Linda Nichols.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rita Hill Short; son and daughter in law, Scott and Dana Short; daughters and son in laws, Pam and Vic Yager, Mandee and Johnny Coleman; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

All services will be private.
