Joe Haynes

Joe "Leonard" Haynes, 62, of Clover, passed away March 15, 2013 at his residence. A native of Johnson City, TN, he was born May 26, 1950 son of the late Oliver Haynes and Ruby Strickland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Elizabeth Haynes and his stepdaughter, Jennifer Lewis. Mr. Haynes is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Pat Haynes of Gastonia; son, Joel Leonard Haynes of the home; daughter, Julie Amanda Haynes of Gastonia; stepchildren, Paula Annette Kale of Gastonia and Lesa Renea Queen of Blacksburg, SC; brother, Paul Haynes of Kings Mountain; sister, Mary Jane Greer of Matthews; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and special friend and caretaker, Robin Edison of Lincolnton. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette, will be held 3:00pm Tuesday, March 19, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and other times at 4705 Country Meadows Dr., Gastonia.
