Joanne Patricia Grigg

Joanne Patricia Grigg, 85, of Gastonia, passed away on September 27, 2020, at Morningside Assisted Living, Gastonia.

She was born April 17, 1935, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Joseph and Velma Brown Meadows.

Mrs. Grigg was a member of Sunset Lane Baptist Church in Bessemer City.

She loved her job of homemaking, raising her children and taking care of her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Dickey Hannah.

Mrs. Grigg will lie in state from 10-11 am Wednesday, at the funeral home before the service.

Burial will be at Armstrong Cemetery in Gastonia.

Mrs. Grigg is survived by her son, David Grigg and fiancée, Cindy Jackson; daughters, Debbie Strider and husband Randy, Diane Brooks and husband Eugene; brother, Bobby Meadows; Grandchildren, Brian Harrell, Nick Strider, Josh Strider, Brandon Grigg, Sean Grigg, Amanda Whitley, Whitney Brooks, Haley Brooks; eighteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Grigg; siblings, Harold Meadows, Jim Meadows, Linda Tilley.
