Joanne W. Fox

JoAnne W. Fox, 81, of Gastonia, passed away February 2, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 23, 1934, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Lilla Black.

JoAnne was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Gastonia.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Dennis, Scott and Bruce Fox; brothers, Frank "Buster" Whitworth and Kenneth Black and grandchildren, Brittany Steele and Adam and Clinton Fox.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene "Gene" Fox.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at Unity Baptist Church, 482 N. Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Roger Mathis.

The family will receive friends 6 – 9 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Interment will be in Westview Gardens.
