Joann Carpenter

JoAnn Carpenter, 83, of Kings Mountain, passed away March 20, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 14, 1934 a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Denver "Curly" Reynolds and Grace Reynolds.

JoAnn was a member of Union Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons Michael Wilkinson and wife Rhonda of Gastonia and Douglas Carpenter of Atlantic City, NJ; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Olin Eugene Carpenter and brothers Fred Williams, Tommy Reynolds and half-brother Paul Williams.

Receiving of friends and family will be 10 – 11 am Friday, March 23, 2018 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Jerry Millwood, will follow at 11 am at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens.
