Joan Brounn Stanzer

Joan Elizabeth Brounn Stanzer, age 76, passed away September 21, 2012, at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC. She was born April 11, 1936 in Camden, NJ, daughter of the late Morrison J. Brounn and Bertha Mae Campbell Brounn. Joan was formerly employed with B. Altman and Co., New York and spent the majority of her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the co-founder and president of The Master Gardeners Group of Gaston County and a volunteer and board member at the Gaston County Museum. There are no services scheduled at this time. She is survived by: her husband, Alfred A. Stanzer; daughters and sons in-law, Deidre Wren and Alan of Northport, NY, Donna Kurkemelis and Jim of E. Rockaway, NY, Danielle Eckrich and Greg of Hockessin, DE; sisters, Gail Finlay and spouse, Tom of E. Machias, ME, Lynn Cirami and spouse, John of Bellmore, NY; grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Christopher, Joshua and Justin. Memorials may be made to, Gaston Hospice for The Robin Johnson House, P. O.
