Joan Murphy Mclemore

Belmont, NC Joan Murphy McLemore, age 70, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012, at Charlotte Health Care Center, Charlotte, NC. She was born December 4, 1941 in Belmont, daughter of the late Clinton and Gladys Rogers Murphy. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Wednesday at McAdenville Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Walt Grigg. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm on Tuesday at McAdenville Baptist Church. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont, NC. She is survived by: her husband, Gene McLemore; daughters, Joanie Edwards, Julie Griffin; brother, Mickey Murphy; sisters, Linda Kimray, Ann Hamrick; 2 grandchildren, Devon and Ethan Griffin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her son, Jeffrey Edwards; sister, Sue Paxton. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
