Jo Rita "Maw" Mckee

J o Rita "Maw" McKee, 77, of Supply, NC, passed away August 9, 2023, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

She was born December 20, 1945, in Gaston County, daughter of the late William and Ruth Savage.

She was a member of Dallas Baptist Church in Dallas, NC.

Jo "Maw" was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She worked at Pharr Yarns for 38 years in Unit 8. She also worked at Holy Angels and the Variety Store in Dallas.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, August 14, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Robert Baker.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Goshen Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Belmont, NC.

Jo "Maw" is survived by son, Grady Scott Jackson; daughter, Jackie Dellinger and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brittany, Jordan, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Alex, Donivan, Kameryn, Carter, Jaxon, Kayleigh, Kynnley, Kaisen.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas McKee; daughter, Bobbie Jo Beaver; brother, Richard Douglas Ray.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road in Gastonia.
