Gastonia, NC Jimmy Douglas Carpenter, 46, passed away November 6, 2013, at Brian Center Health & Rehab., Gastonia. He was born June 12, 1967 in Gastonia, son of Betty Peterson Manning Carpenter Morton and the late Kenneth Wayne Carpenter. Jimmy was raised by his late grandmother, Essie Manning Peterson. A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm on Monday at Greene Fuenral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. James Norman Greene. The family will receive friends 1:30 to 2:15 on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Veronica Betty Hafford and husband, Greg Hafford. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
