Jimmie "Jim" Russell Davidson Sr., 78, passed away July 24, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 1, 1939 in Clover, South Carolina, the son of the late Ben and Carrie Davidson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Davidson; grandson, Leonard Davidson; brothers, Burt, Franklin, Daniel & Robert Davidson; and sisters, Ruth Noles and Lorena Bolin.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving companion, Diane McAlister; sons, Jerry Davidson Sr. and wife Crystal Davidson, Johnny Davidson and wife Wanda, Jimmie Russell Davidson Jr. and wife Stephanie; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 27th from 6 - 8 pm at Greene's Funeral Service - South Chapel 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.
A celebration of life service, officiated by Chris Ballard, will be held
Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
A burial will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, South Carolina.
