Jimmie "Jimbo" Gilfillan

Jimmie "Jimbo" Gilfillan, 61, of Sharon, SC, passed away March 4, 2017 at his residence.

He was born February 5, 1956 in York, the son of the late Robert Lee Brakefield and Jennie Lynn Lattimore.

Jimmie was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.   He was a brick mason by trade and absolutely loved the outdoors.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 35 years, Sharon Gilfillan; son Jamie Gilfillan; daughters Heather Gibson (Keith) and Brandy Gilfillan (Kevin); half-brothers Donald and Johnny Brakefield; sister Cathy Adams (Larry) and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-sister Joyce Sweet.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Monica Tilley, will be held 5:30 pm Sunday, March 12, at Sharon United Methodist Church, 3001 Shannon Street, Sharon, SC.

The family will receive friends at 4 – 5:15 pm prior to the service at the church.
