He was born November 14, 1939 in Gaston County, son of the late Samuel James Brown Sr. and Virginia Smith Brown. A graveside and interment service will be held 11 am on Friday at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
