Jewell Gray Collins, 93, of Cramerton, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her residence.
Jewell lived many places as a preacher’s daughter. However, High Point, North Carolina on the farm was her favorite. Jewell loved music, dancing, singing, and yodeling. She was still putting together jigsaw puzzles as of this year. At 93. Two years ago she joined a social group called The Center: Adult Day Care, in Gaston County. It really excited her and she made so many friends with whom she did so many fun things with.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father Reverend Ray and Susan Ella Collins. Also preceded in death by her siblings, Faye Trusler, Reverend JD Collins, Helen Stumbo, Ruth Cruz, Reverend Paul Collins, Ralph Collins, Katherine Auten, and her son and founder of Mahawk Ministries Paul Moore.
Jewell is survived by her siblings, Maynell Foster, Ray Collins, and Judy Collins; sisters-in-law, Patsie Collins, Frances Collins, and Gayle Collins; her children, Pat Matthews, Brenda Duckworth, Don Moore, Diane Prosser, Deion Martin, and Bobbi Parton, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all have meant so much to her.
Jewell would want you to know Jesus and accept him as your Lord and Savior, and she’d say, “we’re on borrowed time already.” If you feel the desire to give or donate in her honor, we would encourage you to consider The Center, link provided scroll to the bottom. Mom was able to attend because of funding herself.
