Jesse Lee Baynard

Jesse Lee Baynard, 67, of Bessemer City, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born on April 12, 1953, in Rutherford County, NC, to the late Walter and Claudia Terry Baynard.

Jesse was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He loved working on his old car and woodworking. Jesse enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play ball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Baynard, Geraldine Shalp, and Rita Baynard.

Left to cherish Jesse's memories are his sons, Kevin Baynard (Tiffany) and Brian Winsauer; daughter, Angela Baynard (fiancé Nick Boucher); brothers, Lenard Baynard, and Earl Baynard (Ava); sisters, Doris Stevens (Joe), and Lucy Queen; and grandchildren, Dylan Baynard, Logan Mathis, Abby Baynard, and Jackson Baynard.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Forrest Hennessee, will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at  2:00pm located at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
