Jess Franklin Calhoun

Jesse Franklin Calhoun III passed away early in the morning of Saturday, May 24th, surrounded by loving family. Born in Avery County, North Carolina to Reverend Richard "Dick" Calhoun and Margaret Calhoun, Jesse had a lifetime love of nature and could often be found outside with the dogs enjoying the fresh air. He had a big heart and never met a stranger, always taking the time to make friends, even on a simple run to the convenience store.

His family remembers him as an affectionate and considerate father, always willing to lend a smile, an ear, or a pair of helping hands.

Preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers Robert and Paul, sisters Kimberly Calhoun Harman and Vickie Calhoun, and niece Haley. He is survived by his brothers, Pudge, Mike and Tim, his daughters, Brittney, Kimberley, Elizabeth, Victoria, Alana, and Kiley, his sons, Alan, and Daniel, 9 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his wife, Bonnie.
