Jerry Franklin "Fatboy" Yelton, Jr., 51, passed away October 18, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 20, 1969, son of the late Jerry and Brenda Yelton, Sr.
Jerry was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and grandson, who loved riding four wheelers, Harleys, and spending time with family. He also enjoyed his job at Allen's mobile home and RV Supplies, where he was employed for 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Max Parker.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Yelton, III; his twin daughters, Melanie and Meredith Yelton; daughter-in-law, Megan Wilson; grandchildren, Carter, Lila and Helanea; brothers, Mike (Beth), Randy (Telly), and Dwayne (Debbie); sisters, Donna and Sherry Yelton; five nephews and four nieces; and maternal grandmother, Johnnie Mae Parker.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Larry P. Taylor, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
