Jerry Walters Sanders Sr

Jerry Walters Sanders, Sr., age 64, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, August 25 at his residence. A Gaston County native, he was born April 10, 1948, son of the late Roby and Mae Faulkner Sanders Jerry was named Gaston County Person of The Year in 1991. Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife Nancy Gordon Sanders; sons, Jerry W. Sanders Jr. of Key Largo, FL, Chad Millican and wife, Angela, and Chris Millican; daughter, Alicia McLaud; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Frankie Sanders, Bill and Sandra Sanders, Paul and Ann Sanders, and Mitchel Sanders; sisters, Jean Sanders, Darlene Hoyle and husband Jim, and Saundra Sanders; grandchildren, Joshua Sanders, Taylor and Hannah Millican. A memorial service will be held 7:00pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
