Jerry Mcentyre

Jerry McEntyre, 74, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 12, 1946, in Blairsville, GA, son of the late Commodore and Bertha McEntyre.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Benny McEntyre; daughter, Teresa Melton; grandson, Shadoe Degunion; and siblings, Leona Reece, Betty Davis, Gearleen McEntyre, D.C. McEntyre, Monroe McEntyre, C.F. McEntyre, Arzella McEntyre, Donavee McEntyre, and Herman McEntyre.

Mr. McEntyre owned McEntyre's Tree Service for over 45 years and was well-loved and respected by his loyal customers.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Nancy McEntyre who passed 6 days after her beloved husband; sons, Jerry McEntyre and Jessie Palmer; daughters, Rhonda Degunion, Sandy Snead and husband Chris, Michelle McEntyre, Racheal McEntyre and significant other Wayne Spears; Allison Sanders and husband Aaron, Oletia Conner and husband Tony; brothers, Weldon Reece, Ed Brown, Joe Brown and wife Hazel, J.B. McEntyre and wife Marie; 21 grandkids; and a WHOLE LOT of great grandkids.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia.
