Jerry Melton Lucas, 81, of Gastonia, passed away September 17, 2022, at his home.
A Gaston County native, he was born January 11, 1941, son of the late John and Mabel Lucas.
He was a US Army veteran who served in Vietnam and was a member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memories are his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Sandra Lucas; and niece, Jackie Lucas.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tommy Self, will be held 11AM on Thursday, September 22, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
