Jerry Herron

Jerry Herron, 89, of Gastonia, NC, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born July 2, 1932, in Gaston County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Doctor Frank McGuire and Monda Ellen Wilson McGuire.  Jerry was a member of more than thirty years at Yorkwood Church of God.  She loved the Lord, her family and church family.  Her hobbies included FaceBook, cooking, word search and puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Edwina Herron; brothers, Dent and Neil; sisters, Willie, Gertie, Winnie and Mamie.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than seventy-three years, Billy Herron; son, Lynn Herron (Angie); grandchildren, Kelsey, Tyler, Chloe, Chad and Delaney; great grandson, Emile; grand fur babies, Maggie and Lucy Herron.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Chris Kennedy will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Yorkwood Church of God 405 Stagecoach Rd. Gastonia.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
