Jerry Edward Grigg Sr.

Jerry Edward Grigg Sr., 88, of Kings Mountain, passed away, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born June 26, 1931 in Cherokee Co, SC, son of the late Hubert Lee Grigg and Carrie Davis Grigg.
Jerry was a Retired Veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Dovie, Ruby and Helen; brothers, Jess, Sam Jean and Bud.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Dessie Nance Grigg since 1951; daughter, Rita Alexander and Rhonda Warren; sons, Brent Grigg and Jerry Grigg II; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service officiated by Pastors Brent L. Grigg, Brent Douglas Grigg, Darrell Alexander and Eric Alexander will be held 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Trinity Church of the Living God – 119 Kristie Ln., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Burial will be held at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
