Jeremy Wayne Cummings

Jeremy W. Cummings, 50, of Gastonia, NC, passed away October 7, 2024, in Spartanburg, SC.

He was born in Charleston, WV, on October 22, 1973, to Mitzie Cummings and the late Randall Cummings.

Jeremy had a good sense of humor.  He was a big teddy bear that gave the BEST hugs.  Jeremy was very proud of his children and loved his family.  He never met a stranger.   He helped his sister care for his mother. Jeremy was a good son-in-law, who cared for his wife's mother as if she were his mother.

In addition to his father, Jeremy was preceded in death by an uncle, James Richard Cummings; and grandparents, Frances Shafer, Elvin Shafer, James Cummings, and Merle Cummings.

In addition to his mother, Jeremy is survived by his daughter, Laura Cummings; sons, Nathaniel and James Cummings; wife, Tanya Cummings; sister, Jennifer Cummings (Danny Phillips); and niece and nephews, Chance Cummings, Lilly Phillips, and Thomas Phillips.

Receiving of family and friends will be held 2:00pm, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, with a celebration of life service following at 2:30pm, at Flint Groves Baptist Church - 2017 E. Ozark Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054.
