Jennifer Hilderbrand Jennings, 51, of Mt. Holly, peacefully passed away on August 13, 2026, gaining her heavenly wings after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jennifer was born in Tucson, Arizona, to her late parents, Keith and Valerie Hilderbrand. She was raised in Gastonia, North Carolina, after her father retired from the United States Air Force.
Jennifer was a loving and caring sister, mother, grandmother, and wife. She married Timothy Jennings of Mt. Holly on June 17, 2020. Together, they shared six wonderful years of marriage filled with love and cherished memories.
Jennifer was a devoted mother to her two sons, David Bridges of Windsor, North Carolina, and Jacob Hilderbrand of Gastonia, North Carolina, and his fiancée, Alexis Ledford. One of Jennifer's greatest joys was being a grandmother to her beloved two-year-old grandson, Tatum Hilderbrand, whom she was incredibly proud of.
Jennifer is also survived by her only sister, Lori Stamey, and her husband, Fred "Jinks" Stamey; her nephews, Dustin Stamey and his wife, Lindsay, of Dallas, North Carolina, and Joshua Stamey and his wife, Alexis, of Gastonia, North Carolina.
Jennifer enjoyed reading and listening to audiobooks, traveling to the beach and the mountains, and listening to music. More than anything, she treasured the time she spent with the people she loved. Her memory will live on through the many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members whose lives she touched.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Valerie Hilderbrand; her maternal grandparents, Wylie and Joyce Hilderbrand; her uncles, Leonard and Jerry Hilderbrand; and her aunt, Vonnie Falls.
A celebration of life will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Evangel Assembly of God, with Pastor Rufus Johnson, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 at the church.
Jennifer will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her love, strength, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
