Jennifer Barnette

Jennifer Nicole Barnette, 33, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

She was born on June 30, 1988, in Gaston County, to the late Tommy Dean Barnette, Sr. and Donna Jean Spake Barnette.

In addition to her parents, Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandmother, Peggy Waldrop and grandfather, Claude Barnette Sr..

Left to cherish Jennifer's memories are her sons, Bryson and Keaten Vanesse; daughters, Angel and Kaitlyn Smith; brother, Tommy Barnette, Jr. ; sister, Heather Barnette; grandmother, Hilda Owens; grandfather, David Spake; uncles, Danny Spake and Cooter Barnette; aunt, Penny Barnette and Cousin, Brandon Barnette.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Robert Brooks, will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
