Jeffrey M. Stevens
May 28, 1955 - October 23, 2026
Jeffrey M. Stevens, age 71, of Crouse, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, in Lincolnton, North Carolina.
Born in Eden, North Carolina, on May 28, 1955, Jeff grew up in his hometown of Bath, Maine. He was a graduate of Morse High School and continued his education at the University of Maine at Augusta and Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina. For many years, Jeff worked as a First Class Tinsmith at Bath Iron Works before relocating with his family to South Carolina. He later made his home in Crouse, North Carolina, where he resided until his passing.
A true outdoorsman, Jeff found great joy in deer and duck hunting. He loved fishing the salt waters of Maine, angling in New Hampshire, and catching bass and catfish in North Carolina. Happiest when working with his hands and enjoying nature, Jeff spent countless peaceful hours tending to his garden and raising his chickens and ducks. For many years, he was also a familiar face at the Barnyard Flea Market in Dallas, North Carolina, where he owned Rustic Sales.
Jeff is survived by his loving daughters, Morgan Deitrick and Christine Stevens (Bobby); his cherished grandchildren, Jazmine (Kyle), Tyson (Ash), Natalie (Jose), Noah, Isaiah, and Christina; his great-grandchildren, Isabella, Charlie, and Illias; and his brother, Greg (David).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Stevens of Five Islands, Maine, and Virginia Whitney of Bath, Maine, and granddaughter Natasha Stevens of Summerville, SC.
In accordance with Jeff's wishes, no formal memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with final expenses can be sent via Cash App ($MorganDeitrick) or Zelle (980-429-7451) c/o Morgan Deitrick.
