Jeanette Baker Hice

Jeanette Baker Hice, 83, of Gastonia, passed away January 23, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born in Gaston County, NC on July 5, 1938, to the late Joseph David and Della Randolph Baker.

Jeanette was a devoted mother.  She loved her grandchildren and great-granddaughter dearly.  Most of all, Jeannette loved the Lord.  She was a very caring person and was loved by many.

In addition to her parents, Jeannette is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hice; son, Gregory Hice; and siblings, Larry Baker and Judy McNeely.

Jeanette is survived by her son, Jeff Hice; a daughter, Phyllis Crawford; brothers, J.D Baker (Pat), Richard Baker (Diane), Roger Baker (Vicky), Fred Baker (Marie), Vernon Baker (Becky), and Everette Baker (Angie); sisters, Marie Morrow and Sylvia Whitesides (Robert); grandchildren, Darren Crawford and Anna Crawford; and great-granddaughter, June Crawford.

A service to celebrate the life of Jeanette, officiated by Pastor Milton Smith, will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
