Jean Floyd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Olivia Floyd, who left us on January 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in North Carolina, Jean spent many years in Syracuse, NY, and retired back in Gaston County, NC. After earning her Associate's Degree, she dedicated many years to working in administration within the public school system, touching countless lives along the way.

Jean was a loving sister to Douglas and Donnell Camp, who will deeply miss her presence and the warmth she brought to their lives; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

All services for Jean will be held private by the family.

Jean Olivia Floyd will be remembered for her compassion, dedication, and the joy she spread to everyone around her. She may be gone, but her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents James "Bill" and Caldonia Camp; husband, William Mitchell Floyd.
