Jean Key Jenkins Bagwell, 68, of Gastonia, passed away May 21, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by and holding hands with her family.
She was born November 20, 1947 in Clay County, TN, daughter of the late Benny and Irene Key.
Jean was a member of Gastonia Church of Christ and was the church secretary for over 32 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Barry Lee Jenkins; brother, Charlie Key; and brother-in-law, Jack Griffin.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Kenneth Ray Bagwell of the home; daughters, Robin Jenkins, Kelly Jenkins Norman and husband Chip; grandchildren, Cassidy, Sam, Micah, Josiah, Jadon, Jonah, and Willow; great-grandchild, Raelynn; sister, Kathy Griffin; and niece, Audrey Griffin.
A celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Chip Norman, Minister Michael Morton, and Minister Dean Meadows, will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday at Gastonia Church of Christ, 1919 N. New Hope Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday.
Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gastonia Church of Christ, 1919 N. New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
