Jason Dale Matherly

Jason Dale Matherly, 64, of Bessemer City, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

Jason was born November 13, 1960, in Danville Va, son of the late Joseph Thomas Matherly and Evelyn Johnston Ivester. After a lifelong career as an automotive specialist, he retired from Complete Auto and Fleet, Inc. He enjoyed music, dirt track racing, spending time with his pet companions, and talking about the Lord. Jason will be missed by his family and numerous friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Donna Matherly; son, Jason Matherly (Jennifer); and brothers, Jeff Matherly (Mary), Jerry Matherly (Yvonne), and Joe Matherly (Melody); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and blended family he accepted as his own; and special friend, Jason Zucker.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service-1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family and friends will hold a graveside service 12:00 pm, Friday, December 13, 2024, at Bessemer City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Jason's name.
