Jason Carliss Long

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Jason Carliss Long, who left us on April 22, 2025, at the age of 32. Born on April 9, 1993, in North Carolina, Jason was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He was an amazing husband, devoted son, and a steadfast friend who brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His warm spirit and infectious sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Julionne Long, of Concord, NC; his father, Gil Long, of Gastonia, NC; his mother, Barbara Delores Long, of Concord, NC; and his brother, Jordan Long, also of Gastonia, NC. He is also survived by his step-mother, Janet Long, of Gastonia, North Carolina; step-brother, Nathan Sibley, of Gastonia, North Carolina; step-sister, Liz Sibley of Savannah, GA; his beloved grandmother, Carolyn Long of Lake Wylie, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and in-laws who will remember him fondly.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carliss Long and Luther Howell, and his grandmother, Ellen Howell.

A celebration of Jason's life will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Epic Church - 830 Linwood Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052, where friends and family can gather to honor and remember him. Jason will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
